I dont mind spending money on shades and typically buy Smith, Ray Ban, Dragon, Native, VonZipper etc. Getting to that age where my reading vision is starting to go and I was looking for a way to read on the deck without having to wear two pairs of glasses. I found these things and was not expecting too much. But it turns out that they are a heck of a value. As someone commented, they are plastic, and that makes them seem a bit cheap, but a lot of shades that cost way more are also plastic these days. They are light weight, look great, have a decent polarized gray lense, and the built in bifocal works great for reading. And they come with a pretty nice hard case and cleaning cloth. I was pleasantly surprised with the qulaity and the value.

The concept is good but the material is really cheap. So far i broke 2 of them and have never broken any of my other glasses ever. The bridge is so badly crafted that with a smallest push when you putting it on, it will break.

Isnt great when you get something that exceeds your expectations? Well purchasing these this will be one of them. I needed a backup pair for my $219 Maui Jim readers for walks in the park, lunch breaks etc. Ive misplaced expensive Maui Jims before so I keep them in the car and use them strictly for driving. I recently purchased some Clark Kent type sunshade readers for use out of the car but they dont block the sides the way I like and need. These however are so good they may actually REPLACE my Maui Jims.......oh yea...I said it. They are THAT good. The wrap around covers more of my periphery side view than the Maui Jims as well as coverage above my eyes. The frame mounted to the lenses is much more durable than I had expected. Very well engineered. The well made durable case it comes in is the same quality case Ive paid $7 on another separate purchase awhile back. Ill keep my Maui Jims but Im pretty sure these will become my goto sunshade readers foe every occasion. This one is a no-brainer.........

For my old analog car, plain (polarized, of course) sunglasses worked well. The instrument panel displays are limited and large and labels for the few buttons, knobs and switches are easy to read. My new computerized car is another thing altogether. The displays are packed with information, and buttons and switches proliferate and are mostly small. I discovered bifocal sunglasses! My requirements were simple: polarized and reader power of +1.00. The vast selection on Amazon became very few. The reader power is the main stumbling block; +1.00 power is not much and the offerings are few. That power wouldn’t suit me for ordinary reading, but the instrument panel is much farther away than I hold a book, and +1.00 is perfect. These glasses are perfect. They are light, comfortable, and leave enough space around the edges for air circulation. The reader part of the lens is barely visible from the front—the line is on the back side of the lens. The lenses for the “black” color are gray and do not give a color cast to what you see. Good! Being frameless, durability may be a concern, especially with the 1-screw temple attachment, but so far they remain tight. Be aware that the reader part of the lens is polarized along with the rest of the lens. Polarized lenses are a problem with some electronic displays. If you avoid polarized sunglasses for that reason, but otherwise prefer them, search Amazon for polarized sunglass readers with the reader lens inset into the larger lens. The reader lenses in these glasses are not polarized nor are they heavily tinted, which, for drivers, makes reading the dash even easier. These reader sunglasses fill a need that almost no others do, and do it well. Five stars well earned. P.S. For manufacturers, an even better solution would be an “aviator” style with +1.00 reader power that would better fit in a shirt pocket.

Seriously awesome sun-readers, wow! I didnt expect them to be so good at this price! Turns ou now I want to have more just in case I loose them! They hug your face/ head por a perfect fit. I live that the nose rest is not "floating" like so many others. I tend to place glasses on my head when Im not using them and the other kind of nose pads always pull my hair out, and they hurt! These dont! They are polarized and very well balanced, you would never believe they are so unexpensive! They come with a hard case and a cleaning cloth. Also, they may seem a bit masculine but look really cool on a girl! I seriously recommend them!
