I wear a size 16-18 and purchased the XXL. According to my measurements this should have fit, but it was really tight across the bust (I am a 40DD). The material is very soft (feels like a rayon/polyester but soft and silky) but there is no stretch whatsoever. So if you are close to the top end of the measurements or busty, order up or proceed with caution. Also I purchased two colors and they fit differently--Pattern 1 (turquoise) fit smaller than Pattern 22 (pink). The patterns were beautiful and had it fit I would have certainly kept it.

Gorgeous vibrant colors. Soft luxurious fabric. Nice detail on sleeves and small slit on side for extra comfort. Ordered for my mom for beach cover up bc she wanted something with sleeves since she has to wear compression garments for lyphodema and didnt want a sleeveless cover. This item was perfect! I loved it so much Im also ordering one for myself.

Im so sad this dress didnt fit because its a great style for the money. I normally wear size 12 bottom or 14-16 top. The dress fit great in the shoulders (I am broad) but was a hair snug in the chest (36DD). The middle and butt is where I had an issue. I have straight hips but do have a butt and a gut and it was just too snug in the XL around the bottom and middle areas. If you fall into smaller size categories I would definitely tell you to size up and get this in many colors. Warning: it does run short- Im 53 and would be comfortable wearing this at a beach or resort but it was too short for my regular life. This all sounds negative but if you are shorter than 53, and are smaller than the areas mentioned, I think you will be pleased.

On a whim....I saw this dress and ordered it. I loved it so much, I ordered a second one. I am a “young” 59 year old and decided I should try a dress that I could wear at the beach, on cruises; etc....when it’s hot and I can just slip on a dress to look cute. The reviews I read indicated that it ran a little short and some reviewers wear it as a top. That certainly appealed to me since I am 5’4” and most dresses are too long. This one is the perfect length. It hits me about 2-3 inches above the knee and has a small slit on both sides. The fabric is a thin polyester but the colors are rich enough so that you cannot see through it. Another plus is the sleeves. It is important my upper arms are covered. I followed the others advice and ordered the large. I am glad I did. I may take it up a bit in the waist area but only because I would like it a bit more fitted. But overall - I love these dresses! I ordered this one, Pattern 18, and then ordered Pattern 2 for my second one. They are different enough as not to look anything alike. And well worth the price!
