I received these yesterday and Im wearing them to work today. I wanted black so I could wear them to work and still look dressy and they do the job. My husband says they look great so I think I might just order another pair. I got these instead of leggings because I dont wanna look like that, but these are slim enough to not look baggy. Im 5 4" and weigh 116 and ordered a size 6. I love the higher waist.

I definitely love these jeans :) I gotta say though, Ive bought three of the same kind of jeans, and they run everywhere from too big to just right to tight in different colors. Still all wearable, but the continuity of the make and design feels like a gamble. Feel very different from each other. Pearl ran tight, Seattle fit as expected, and Horizon ran large - if thats any help :) Theyre all listed as different colors of the same jeans, but theyre not the same jeans. A little confusing. But, I still like all of them, so... :)

I have bought these jeans before and liked them. Needing a smaller size, I ordered these. They fit well at the waist and are a good length for me (5ft 6in). I have barely had them a month and they have frayed out so that they no longer fit flat at the zipper. I have put fray lock on them and sewed them so I can still wear them around the house but make sure you look at them when you get them. These were made in Mexico. I also bought a pair called Heritage that were made in Egypt. They have a little better cotton in them and seem well made. However, they are just a little shorter in the waist.

Yes! As all others have said these jeans do run large but in fairness these jeans are made for the curvy girl who is small in the waist with hips and rounded rear ends. But I am 59 with a flat rear and thick thighs so I normally wear a size 12/14 and skinny jeans turn into muffin top jeans on me. I needed a straight leg jean with a little higher waist that didnt look like mom jeans. After reading the reviews I chose a size 12 but Way too big is an understatement. What I loved was how dark the black jeans are and not that awful greyish black that has become popular. I returned them easily and the exchange arrived quickly within 3 days of me mailing back the return. Now I love the size 10 and while an 8 may fit tighter in the rear, the 10 fits my hips well without squeezing them (giving an hourglass shape) and the waist is comfortable enough that even if they draw up after washing I will be able to zip them up. With a belt I can pull them up higher to hide my lack of "booty" with out losing the length. The length is perfect for sneakers or heals. I do not have that totum pole leg look as the jeans hug my thighs just above the knees then loosens to make my thighs look slimmer. Then at the knee it sort of gathers so it is straight but not straight as a "pole". This is that classic jean that I was looking for and I am extremely happy to find them. So happy that I ordered a pair in Horizon for my daughter since she is curvy both in hips and rear so she should fill these jeans out well while having a more slimming look. If these do not draw up in the wash then I will try Horizon in an 8 and see if those will be too small since I am in a middle size I may be better off not going down another size. Still overall these are excellent, sturdy, true to color, year round jeans and once you find your size you will want a pair in every color.

I purchased two of these jeans: one in Horizon (which Ive received several compliments about) and one in Seattle. I would definitely have given the pants a full five stars if this review was only about the Horizon pair. However, because of issues with the Seattle-colored jeans, I had to average that five with an at-best three. The fit for both pairs is great, but I have to give the overall product only four stars because I cannot recommend the Seattle color. I dont know if I was sent a pair that someone else with horrible hygiene had returned or if it was something leftover from the dying process, but the Seattle pair of jeans had a horrible chemically smell. They smelled rather acrid--and I doubt it was some sort of joke about the grunge movement... When I say the jeans smelled bad, I mean that I washed them and the entire load of laundry had to be rewashed because all of the clothes in the washing machine came out smelling like those jeans instead of like laundry detergent. After a second wash, it was quite a bit better, but no brand-new clothing should smell that bad! ***I spoke too soon. When they were fresh from the washer (and still damp) they smelled fine, now that they are dry, they stink horribly again! Im not sure what on earth to do with this pair of jeans. Im incredibly disappointed in the Seattle jeans. :(
