I ordered 4 pair of these based on the description of 99% Cotton / 1% Stretchy crap. What I got was ONE PAIR of 99% Cotton made in Sri Lanka and THREE PAIRS of 60% Cotton made in China! WTF???? Even though my incredibly sweet boyfriend, who thought he was doing me a favor, opened the box and cut all of the tags off to put the jeans in the washer I can still return them. Thank goodness!!! A very nice gentleman at customer service told me to just put the tags in the box with the jeans and I can send them back. Never again. Levis are not what they used to be. DONT BUY THESE UNLESS YOU PLAN ON SENDING THEM BACK FOR NOT BEING WHAT YOU ORDERED!!!

Returned. This review is for the "golden honey"color 505. I love the 505 style and have worn them for years. This years 505 is not like the ones from 2 years ago. It is 1 inch higher in the front and back rise, meaning it will come over the belly button for many of us. It has gone from being a pant just below the waist to one that is at the waist. Not as comfortable. It is a bit tighter in the middle, so it draws tighter across the belly. Finally, it is NOT "golden honey". It is khaki. Some websites are showing a glowing amber, that is 100% false. Adding on to review for the "Desert Daze" color. It is NOT mostly cotton. It is 79% cotton, 19% poly, 2% elastane. It has whiskering, while the pictures do not show that. It is 31 waist by 30 length, NOT a 12S(short). Very disappointed. The fit when I first tried them on was nice, but that much polyester means they will sag within an hour and will be HOT.

I think every woman knows the intense pain of trying to find jeans that fit, flatter, and dont cost a fortune. It looks like my quest continues. I recently ordered my first pair of Levis, the Slimming 512. I bought those in size 12, in a medium-dark rinse, and I feel like they fit pretty true to size, even a tiny bit snug at first, and were *just* long enough. Since that pair was ok and broke in well, I decided to order these so Id have a pair of lighter rinse with a straight leg (the 512 has a narrow leg opening that doesnt work with every style of shoe). I ordered this style also in size 12, just 1" longer the 512 Slimming jeans. I dont know what possessed me to take the tags off before I wore them around a bit. I immediately noticed when I put this pair on that they are a *lot* stretchier and thinner than the 512s. These were no kind of snug at first, and within 30 minutes of wear, they were sagging, bagging, and falling off. The thigh and backside are way beyond relaxed, fitting so loose that it looks like youre literally wearing guys jeans. The bagginess in the leg and butt is not flattering, and Ill add that Im pretty thick in the thigh. Usually in order for jeans to fit over my thighs, they end being way too big in the waist; so I was floored when these were actually too big in the thigh. Back in the 80s and 90s you wanted your jeans a little loose at first, because they were mostly cotton and were going to shrink up quite a bit in the wash--remember the old shrink-to-fit? Since I had already taken the tags off these, I hoped a good washing in hot water might at least tighten them up enough to make them serviceable for my monthly fat days. No such luck. These are only 60% cotton; the rest is all various stretch materials. So sadly, they tighten up barely right out of the hot dryer--but stretch right back out to saggy-butt proportions with only a few minutes of wear. Im noticing considerable inconsistency in sizing and materials among Levis jeans. A 3rd style, the Levis Midrise Skinny jean was too small in the size 12, and way too short in the medium length. I returned those right away. The 512 Slimming jean I mentioned above fits pretty well in the size 12 and is just long enough in the medium length. These 505s are a mile too big in the size 12, and I was walking on them in the medium length. Fit and sizing seems to vary widely not only between style #s, but also between different colors in the same style. I know for a lot of people $40 is not expensive for jeans, but I feel like its pricey enough to merit jean-weight fabrics and consistent sizing. These 505s feel like oversized jeggings or at best the bargain-brand jeans you can buy at big box stores for $12-$15; but then again who knows how this same style might fit in a different color. I dont feel like doing enough returns to find out. And the search continues...

The overall fit was comfortable and slimming. There wasnt any exposure from the back waist. I am only 52" and the leg length was very long without 4 inch heels. I would recommend them to you.

Ive been looking for Levis 505 jeans for a very long time and was thrilled to finally find them. Great jeans! Although Levis has changed their heavier quality denim for a considerably thinner version, the fit is the same and Ill definitely be buying more.
