I didnt know when I bought my first pair of these jeans (a year ago) that I would be receiving jeggings. I thought they would be the thicker jeans I came to know as "signature" levis. However, Levis never makes a bad product and even though they are not what I expected, they actually are a lot better for me to wear at work, because my job is physical and I need the extra stretch in the pants when Im climbing on things. SO ! happy accident. They are high quality but do not last as long as a regular pair of jeans, and i mean, i wear these things ever day doing physical labor, so they last about 8 months for me. But that is longer than 5 months, which is what i was getting out of the Denizen Levis.

A bit too much stretch in this fabric, which means that after more than a few hours they start to get saggy. UPDATE: The above was my original review. I ordered these for the first time in fall 2017. I reordered them recently and they’re not the same at all. Still good jeans — in fact, they’re a little less stretchy and more like regular denim, which is good. But the rise is different (lower) than last year’s version, as is the color. In short, even though the manufacturer labels them as the same, they are different.

These aren’t jeans. They’re black pants cut like jeans but they’re not denim. Getting mighty tired of not being able to find actual denim in actual women’s sizes. They’re stretchy black pants. They look fine. Not jeans. I run between a 10 and a 12 and these should have been slightly loose and they’re slightly too tight so they run small on top of everything else. I won’t be returning them but I won’t be buying more, either.

This is the second pair of the straight leg jeans I bought thru Amazon. I am giving them only 4 stars because you have to be careful about what size you order. My first pair was a M length which should have been 32 inches, after washing a couple of times they now measure 29 1/2 inches. I did not measure them when they arrived so I guess that they were only about 30/31 inches to start, which is a Short length, even though the tag inside reads 32 length. They will work rolled up for summer. So when ordering this pair I ordered the Long should be 34 inches, they measured 33 inches before washing and 32 inches after washing, which is the length that I like. Otherwise both pairs are a size 14 and fit me just right, they are a lighter material than my red tag Levis but will be great for spring and summer. I would buy them again but will be careful to get them in the Long length.

I rarely bother to write reviews, but I decided to try and help a sister out (ugh, jeans shopping, am I right ladies?!). I have a comfy pair of Levis Denizen jeans that I have loved to death, lol. I was determined to find another pair of Denizens... but no luck! Once I accepted that wasnt happening, I searched for an acceptable replacement pair of jeans. I eventually found a review of this pair that mentioned Levis Denizens, so I took a chance and bought these... and woah! I cant decide what makes me happier, the fact that the short (S) length is perfect for 54" height (I can wear them with flip flops or shoes and they work fine), the color is exactly as pictured, the reasonable price, size fits as expected, or that they have stretch but the stretch isnt overly obvious about it. For full disclosure, they are a somewhat thin material (but I live in FL, so thats perfect for my needs) and while I dont expect them to rip or wear out right away, it wouldnt surprise me if they did a year from now (however, since they are reasonably priced, Im okay with that, if so). Anyway, if you love Levis Denizens, looking for cute jeans that are also comfortable, are curvy (waist does not gap and hugs curves gently), and are of an average height (54" for short length), then go forth and buy! I intend to buy more asap. I cant believe Im "saying" this, but I might actually love these more than the Denizens I was sad to replace! Happy shopping!
