So I had no idea what to think of this skirt based on varied reviews. I ordered it because it looked like what I wanted, and I only hoped it was close to that. I ordered both purple and white. I was surprised at how fast they came. When I pulled it out of the package my first exclamation was "Ohhhhh" because of the color and the way the fabric felt. It is so silky soft and flowy! The purple is a beautiful shade, and the white one is a true white. I am 54" and 250lbs, typically wear an XL or 1X depending on the brand....I ordered the 3XL and it just fits - a teeny bit snug but it works with a top out over it. I am soooo happy with these skirts - would definitely recommend. The quality appears to be just fine. I think these will be a big hit this summer, and if I love wearing them Ill probably order more in other colors. And no, I did not get a free skirt or anything at all for writing this. :)

I love the way this skirt fits! It doesnt make me look wide in the hips and doesnt show lumps and bumps like a lot of the thin maxis. Very flattering but long-hits the top of my feet. I am almost 54" waist 32", hips 39"-bought size large. I wish the color was the same as shown but the light blue is a slightly grayed tone, not a tint. Im keeping it anyway since it fits so well!

Disclaimer: Let me start by saying that I was not given any incentives or gifts for writing this review. I am 58", weigh 195 lbs, and Im all legs (33-34" inseam). I am big around the middle, but my hips and thighs are not large. I normally wear a Misses 16-18 or else Womens 1XL-2XL, but since this skirt is made in China (and their sizes run very, very small), I ordered a 4XL and it fits perfectly! I put "Too Small" when I rated the product fit, but only so buyers know they need to seriously size up! The elastic waist and top tier of skirt lay nice and flat so doesnt add bulk around my middle. The length falls about mid-to-low calf, so I can show off my adorable new embroidered western boots. The skirt has a heavy drape to it (100% modal) so has a nice drape and flow to it. Doesnt wrinkle like cotton does. All the seams, hems, elastic waist are intact and nothing is torn or loose. Surprisingly good quality considering made in China. I have some trouble with that, but I am very happy to say this skirt is an exception and I might even buy another one in a different color.

This skirt is quite lovely, and thanks to some clever details its also very wearable. The lining is a knit polyester that comes about to the knees. The outer fabric is a woven poly chiffon without any inherent stretch, BUT! It has a clever treatment that acts like smocking. The smocking effect isnt stitched in; it appears to be somehow permanently pressed into the fabric. Each tier of the skirt is sewn from a piece of fabric that is half "smocked" and half loose chiffon. This makes the skirt look like its six tiers. And because the smocked section is used at the waist/yoke, the skirt is stretchy from the waist down about six inches. This keeps the skirt closer to the body in the high hip area, and makes it very comfortable. The unsmocked chiffon gives a floaty, airy effect and makes it feel fuller than it really is. I pretty much live in long, full skirts, and Ive become choosy over the years. One of the things Ive come to realize is that no matter how beautiful the skirt is, lots of fabric gathered at the waist is not flattering for curvy girls with hips. This one is cleverly put together to look fuller than it is and keeps the fabric at the hips more minimal. At 52" long skirts tend to be VERY long on me. This one just grazes the floor. Its wearable with flats, just barely, and looks great with a bit of a heel. It is chiffon, so it is delicate and susceptible to snags, kinda like nylons or tights. Id say that this skirt is more than worth its price, and Ill be buying it in other colors.
