I have two Eileen Fisher woolen pencil skirts, and wanted something lighter for early fall, and didnt want to pay the price. I read the reviews and understood that for some the skirt runs small. That makes sense based on EF sizing. For me (EF x-tra small), the small size fit perfectly. My intention is to wear it over tights with ankle boots and and a long sweater whenever I take ballet or Pilates so that I can get in and out of class quickly. Its a bit long, just on the knee or below (as the photo shows), but rolls and pulls up easily. It has some weight, which gives it a smooth look, is not flimsy, and will probably handle the stretch well enough for me to get some wear out of it.

This skirt is honestly the best quality skirt Ive ever found on Amazon. However, I have very much an hourglass figure, with a 29" waist and 43" hips. I ordered an XL and it was SKIN TIGHT. So tight. But then poking out a few inches on both sides of my waist. I like my skirts more modest and loose so Im returning it, but if you dont have the same problems as me, its a great skirt.

This is a great skirt if you order a couple sizes larger than you normally do. I am over 56" and weigh 120lbs, I normally wear a xs-s, but I went with the reviews and ordered a large and it fits and looks great. Very nice, thick material, too.

**I am updating this review after a multiple wears. Originally I ordered the medium which was VERY fitted and thought the large would work better. As noted in the first review, the waist stretches out after a few hours which, at first, was annoying. Now its close to being unwearable as the waist becomes so loose it adds inches and inches of loose fabric which is both unattractive and uncomfortable. Overall I really like. Am 57 150 lbs usually 6 on bottom and ended up ordering a large as the medium would have been public appropriate ;) That said, it fits really well but the waist does stretch out after a few hours of wear. End up wearing it a little lower...may try a medium again for casual wear. Do very much like the fabric and seems to wash well (Ive only washed it twice). The color is a rich black.

I ordered a L and an XL hoping the XL would be too big, but it fit perfect. Im a jean size 10. 53" close to 140#. The XL is fitted, but for a mom of 5 its not too revealing. It seems like a strong, sturdy material and construction. I was looking for more of a casual skirt for summer, and this seems to be more of a dressy skirt. The "heather grey" is a nice charcoal color and very versitile. I ordered the royal blue and its not a color Id normally wear so Ill be returning it. Both are a matted fabric rather than shiny.
