I adore these cool, trim-looking shirts. I own at least seven and am rarely out of them in the summer. Ive even slept in them on train trips and when camping. The black is a dark, saturated color -- subtle and flattering. Here are a few notes or quibbles about these buttery, light-as-air shirts. *I wish the brand tag wasnt so obtrusive, or better yet, not visible. I feel the tag stands out the worst against these black shirts. If this top wasnt branded, I would also make them my office uniform in a heart beat. As is, I sometimes wear under cardigans, but the sweater has to be heavy enough that the tag on front doesnt show through. Ive toyed with the idea of removing it using a seam ripper, but havent been brave enough (or found a cheap enough shirt) to risk trying it yet. Im not sure the fine (though durable) material would withstand the removal without showing holes/pricks. *I adore the snap buttons. The fact that they match the shirt is part of what makes the shirt so trim/streamlined IMO. I wish that I had discovered these shirts (assuming they existed then) when I was nursing my kids. However, I would caution those purchasing for this use that the snaps come open VERY easily. Handy when sporting an infant in one arm and un-buttoning with another, but probably not ideal when nursing older babies or toddlers who like to tug clothing while they sup. A firm grab in the right spot can tear the shirt right open. However, if paired with enough confidence or a nursing cami, these would be a great toddler/older baby nursing option as well. *I wish that the length was longer, verging into CYA territory. Please, please, please. I in insist that my front and rear are comfortably covered when wearing with leggings/athletic tights, so making these shirts longer would allow me to wear them with all types of bottoms. *Strangely, I need a M in the sleeveless version and a L in the short and long-sleeved versions. No idea why, but I know its not just me because Ive seen other reviews reflecting this difference. I normally wear a M or S. *As a bonus, the back vent camouflages bra lines and bulges.

I love these shirts and own several. They are terrific for travel - dont take up much space, easy to wash in a hotel sink, and dry in a heartbeat virtually wrinkle-free. The sizing does run a bit large - for reference I am 57", 36" bust, 27" waist and the S/P fits well. I do have one in a Med, which is a bit roomier for wearing over a t-shirt. They are very lightweight, ventilated, keep me cool under a hot sun and I appreciate the UV protection. I also prefer the snap closures - much easier to fasten than fiddling with the buttons on other models of sport shirts. The zippered side pockets are handy, though heavier items would make the shirt sag. The only reason I deduct one star is that they arrive packaged with one cuff turned up several times and secured with the internal tab, creating deep wrinkles that are very difficult to remove. Recommended low setting on iron does not seem adequate, yet I would hesitate to use a higher setting and chance melting the fabric! After several washings and drip drying on a hanger those wrinkles do eventually disappear. Fortunately packing in luggage does not create these deep wrinkles :) Great shirt!

This shirt performed perfectly on my trip to the Amazon, where even in the 110 degree heat & humidity we had to be covered from head to toe to protect from insect bites and the hot sun. The shirt has two side zip pockets that were great for holding things like money and lip balm with 50 SPF. The roll-up tabs worked well for when we were on the boat and less likely to be bitten. The vent features worked well to keep me comfortable even in the hot sun. Bought two different colors of them, two different sizes because from two different vendors, for some reason they were sized differently. Im 55" & 140, & this medium fit well with plenty of room. Also loved the snap buttons which made for easy changes. Overall, very satisfied with this purchase & great value.

My husband has 4 of these lightweight Columbia shirts and since he is wanting the family to do more camping, backpacking and lightweight trips, I needed a breathable, fast-drying shirt that can be washed in a hotel sink and line dry overnight, just like his. Also, I did not want the shirt to be see-through at all so I invested in the black color, which I LOVE! It is honestly worth the price to not worry that everyone can see through my shirt if I sweat or get a little wet from rain or a splash. Black is a slimming color any ways. These shirts have SNAPS, not buttons, so I took a gamble and ordered 1 size up. I wanted the shirt to be plenty roomy and I did NOT want it to be tight under the arm pits in any way so that if I flexed or stretched, the snaps at my bust would explode open. Going 1 size up was the perfect option for me and I am so, so, so very glad that I went a size larger. There is just no way for the snaps to pop open no matter how I flail my arms around because the shirt has room. The cut of the shirt is feminine so you dont look frumpy, even if the shirt is larger. But if you are buxom, I would suggest a size up.

Columbia Womens Tamiami is my very favorite shirt for summer sun protection, and I have many shirts to compare it against. Im in the California sun a lot and prefer long sleeves to protect my skin. I bought this shirt in 4 colors as it is the most comfortable, coolest, softest, most flattering of all my sun shirts. The fabric and fit are exceptional!! CAUTION: the fit of the 2017 Tamiami II is what Id call "athletic" - so its a slim fit. I usually wear a Medium, unless the top is labeled "Athletic Fit", which is code for "tight". I bought one Tamiami II in Medium, and it is very flattering, but a little tighter than I normally would wear. However, the fabric is soft a little stretchy, so I actually really like this fit. I bought 3 in Large, and the 2017 version Large is a generous-but-not-overly-loose fit. I also bought one in Dark Lime, which is not a color that Columbia shows on their website right now - I think it may be a previous years color? That shirt in Large is much bigger. So I wish I would have ordered the Medium in Dark Lime. Also, the White is VERY transparent - I dont mind as I usually wear a tank top under it, but I wouldnt wear it over just a bra.
