True to size according to size chart - I got XS (26-in waist, 35.5-in hips, usually a size 2 sometimes 4, 52" 120lbs). Love the fabric - stretchy, light, breathable, quick-dry. The clear blue color was brighter than pictured, less of a pale blue, but I still like it and it goes well with my complexion (tan/golden olive, similar to the model). I think these shirts look better/more feminine with the sleeves rolled, but its good with the sleeves down, too. Fitted/figure-flattering. Way more comfortable than a typical dress shirt and appropriate for both work AND hiking/outdoor adventures! Im all about finding more versatile clothing as womens clothing typically has such a narrow niche (i.e. special occasions, formal, semi formal, business casual, casual, athleisure, workout...items usually dont work for multiple categories). This allows me to reduce the overall size of my wardrobe! I really dont think it runs small, though if you want a roomy fit I suppose you could size up since its a fitted (but not tight) cut.

These shirts are awesome. The fabric is very silky, the cut is tapered and very flattering, they dont require ironing, are very versatile, and just look great. I get compliments every time I wear one. I have the LS, SS, and Sleeveless versions and love them all. Just wish I could afford to get more of the LS ones for cooler weather. They are dressy enough that I wear them to work under a blazer with skirts and slacks. My only complaint is the fishing rod tab on the left breast - wish it wasnt so obvious. I know, its a fishing shirt, but it works for so much more than that - work, hiking, shopping, traveling, etc. Sizing - I usually wear a small misses or a medium juniors (32C, broad shoulders). The XS in this shirt fit perfectly; the small was too large. I prefer fitted, tailored clothes instead of loose or boxy.

I needed a shirt exactly like this. I thought about what would be the perfect shirt to protect me from the sun and mosquitoes. It would have to be super light weight because I get hot easily. It would have to be super comfortable because I get uncomfortable easily. I searched Amazon and found this shirt, ordered it and am now absolutely loving it. Because of other review recommendations and because this shirt is fitted, and because I have long arms and large hips, and because my intention is to wear this shirt over tank tops and such, I sized up to Large although Medium would be my normal size in tops. The Large is perfect (I am about a size 10 on top and a size 14-16 on bottom.) This Columbia Tamiami II shirt is even better than what I thought up in my head as the perfect shirt. It is vented in the upper back. The snaps down the front and on the sleeve cuffs are so much better than buttons because it is so easy and quick to open and close. There are 2 zippered pockets on the left and right bottom - Wow! It is fitted so gives a woman a fashionable look. It even has a bit of a stretch to it. It is so light and comfortable, you barely even feel it against your skin. The shirt is a bit see-through (at least, the white one is) so I dont think it is best for wearing without anything underneath. You might even get away with wearing this to the office with a camisole or tank top underneath, either buttoned up, or with some buttons (actually, snaps) on top unbuttoned for a layered look. I would say, because of the pockets, this shirt is better suited for not being tucked in. If you like this shirt but are looking for something that has a relaxed fit instead, or if you are on the XL size, consider the Columbia Sportswear Womens Bahama Long Sleeve Top instead. I love the Bahama top as well and wear that one in my normal size of Medium.

I love this turquoise color for summer. I was worried about the fit after reading some of the reviews, but I ordered it in my usual size large and it fits me fine. I have a bit of a belly and it skims over my belly without drawing attention to that area. I was also worried that the snaps might gap across the chest, but it fits me there too. Im going to order in some other colors.

Got this shirt for gardening and yard work. I bought this same brand & style shirt in Maine while on vacation almost 10 years ago. Ive used it not only for hiking, but also gardening, yard work, and fishing. The 10 year old shirt is still in fantastic condition, even after extreme abuse in the garden, so I decided to finally get a 2nd one, so I always have one on hand. It protects against sun, black flies, mosquitoes & so far, ticks. It is light enough to wear in the summer & it dries quickly so you never feel uncomfortable. Its even fashionable to wear while camping. It washes & dries well. Dirt & grime come out out very easily. Seeing that Ive already gotten 10 years out of the 1st one, with NO signs of wear & tear, I think its a fantastic value!
