I have purchased other shirts from MBJ that were sized differently. For this shirt, choose your normal size (as expected). I tried to size down and the shirts were too small. I am 59"/160/36 DD and purchased a Medium. I really needed a Large (the medium was too small in the chest, sleeves, and stomach.) The return cost is at buyers expense, so be aware of that when you buy. Also the "jade" color is not as pictured. In the photograph, it looks to be a teal-based green. The item I received is more kelly-green based. The quality and cut of the shirts are great and I will be buying the Large size in other colors. My normal shirt size is a Large. Hope this review was helpful. **Update. I received the Large size and they fit great in the shoulders and chest. The Large is, however, still pretty snug in the waist/hips. I have a 30" waist and 40" hips and you can see the top of my jeans through the shirt. If you are pear-shaped or have larger hips, I would suggest to size up.

I love the royal blue color and the feel of this shirt, but I dont like the dolman style tops like this that have the elastic on the side, I prefer the ones that are just cut that way. The elastic ones like this remind me more of a maternity top than an actual dolman. I ordered an XL which is the same size of a similar top I own but this one does not give me the looseness around the chest the way a good one does so I marked it as fits kind of small. If I went a size up it would fit in the chest the way I want but might be too lose on the hips.

I recently purchased 2 maxi skirts and wanted a form fitting (but not skin tight) top to pair with them. I am 53 have a wee bit of a "paunch" (Im working on THAT one!) and not one to flaunt my upper arms except at the beach....in my bathingsuit... up to my neck... in the water! (Yeah, Im working on that too!) That being said, I read the reviews for assistance in which size to order. When not a form fitting top, Ill order a M. In this case I figured L would do and in white. It arrived earlier than expected. Immediately I took it out of the package and tried it on. I LOVE this top! It looks and feels fabulous and fits very much to my liking. I can pull it up so the shirring is more around my belly making it appear smaller (yaaaay!). The sleeves are a perfect length and when I lifted my arms and you cant see up the sleeve. The material is like that of a stretchy tshirt. AND best of all its made in the good ole USA! Its ok if its a hand wash/line dry. Its worth it and the price is right too!! I just ordered it in Black and Purple just before I wrote this review! Thank you, MBJ!

The ONLY reason I am giving this top 4 stars..is that personally made the mistake of listening to all of the reviews to "order a size OR even 2 up" because they fit small. Well I am very petite 55 and 106lbs so a medium. Why it is overly huge on me. But quite loose enough that I think I really could have gotten away with ordering the small. Maybe itll shrink a little. After I wash it and wear . I will give an update if indeed it does shrink. Good luck. Hope this helps somebody. (FYI) I also though do NOT dry anything) so If this doesnt shrink a tad from washing I just may try placing it in the dryer even if for only a few minutes. Thanks for listening ;o) Hope this can help all of the petite gals out there like myself. Also am only a 34 B cup...So being little and small in chest. I think a small would have been perfectly the perfect fit (for me) Good luck....hope that this helps someone or several of you. GREAT quality fabric. VERY, VERY soft. ALSO ..LOVE that it is made in the USA (woo-hoo) very hard to find these days. very soft top and by the way the sleeves arent so dolman large that you have to wear a tank or cami underneath it .. But I need to do this with most boat neck fitting shirts if I dont want to show off my bra straps:) UPDATE~ below Someone asked me if the coral was more of a pink ..... Well I will let you guys be the judge, my sweatshirt on the left is VERY, very coral... So, its not "so far off" from a coral but do I think it is a true "coral shade"?? No. Id call it coralish/watermelon personally . But I love it. I just an crossing my fingers these wash well being so cheap :/:/ I have concerns about them piling after they are washed. If anyone has washed theirs and knows would you mind letting me know how yours came out? Thanks a bunch. I have 4 of these tops! For the price theyre totally awesome however I wish I had read the directions for washing. Because since I didnt know it these tips are all hand wash ONLY AND lay flat to dry. Mine after one wash had those little tiny cotton pieces throught the shirt making it look very worn and like I had had for a while just after one wash. SO HIGHLY recommend if you dont hand wash literally ... Use the hand wash only selecting on your washing machine (if you have that option ) I did that with my other 3 colors and hey washed perfectly. Do not dry lay flat to dry. With all that said. Fabulous top. Wil be buying more in the future :) :) ;)

I am 50 and weigh about 117 and I ordered the XS. These run relatively loose so that is why I went down to the XS. Typically, I often wear a womens medium because I have broad shoulders and I have a tendency to run towards having a muscular upper body, so from front to back I am thick (as my husband calls it) but a medium in this would have swallowed me whole. It does drape well and the side shirring makes the area around the waist stay put instead of falling down around my hips. The fabric is lightweight but not so lightweight that it is too sheer. I could not see through it like I another I had bought that you could. It is very soft with a lot of room for movement. It seems well made for the price. It feels like its made out of a jersey knit or polyester with some lycra added to make it hold its shape. I have not yet worn it so I have not washed it yet so I do not know how it performs after having been washed. For the reason I purchased it, it will meet my needs just fine. If it dies after I wash it once or twice I will return and update my review.
