I wore my boots only a handful of times in October and then wore them for my hike at the Grand Canyon in early November. Upon tying them for our hike out of the canyon the top eyelet ripped out of the stitching, which is why Im giving 4 stars instead of 5. It didnt affect tying the boot much but I was just wondering if you would consider a replacement pair. I have attached photos. The boots were awesome otherwise!

Im a 26 year old woman who loves to travel and do a bit of exploring off the beaten path. Ive been in the market for a good pair of hiking boots for some time, and my husband (whos in the wildlife field) suggested I try Merrells since he literally wears his all day, every day. His take him from trudging through wetlands to trekking every mountain range in Colorado, so I figured Id give it a shot. I wore these right out of the box every day while I was in Ireland, and I couldnt be happier with them. I wore a thinner, higher sock and only felt a little pain after practically running steeply uphill one day (I think the tongue was out of place, which isnt the shoes fault). Other than that, they are the most comfortable, dry shoe Ive had the pleasure of wearing. Any time I go for any type of walk outside, I throw these on - the ankle support is something I had no idea I need but now cant live without! I would suggest sizing up a 1/2 size - I usually am a 9.5, but I bought the 10 and they are perfect, even with a wool sock. The 10.5 was a smidge too big. Doesnt look bulky on my foot like other hikers do either. Merrell is a great company, and my husband and I will forever be loyal to them. Worth every penny!! Couldnt live without them!

I bought these boots for a recent winter trip to Iceland. Size was perfect. I generally wear an 8, this shoe for me ran really true to size. My feet are borderline wide, I purchased an 8 wide so that I would be sure to have enough room for multiple layers of thick wool socks - which ended up fitting perfectly! There was no "adjustment" period with these boots to break them in, they were comfortable from the first time I put them on. Even without the multiple pairs of socks, the boots proved to be super warm and waterproof. I wore them trekking thru Iceland winter glacer/hiking trails with snow and ice and never had a problem with my feet getting wet or not staying warm. The traction was great, although most of the time, due to terrain, i had Yaktrax on the bottom of the boots. I was slightly worried initially about the yaktraxs fitting on the the wider boot, but it was not a problem at all!! I put 200+ miles of hiking on these the last 3 weeks in iceland and never had any problems and i look forward to many more hiking adventures in them! Overall, a great buy and a great boot!

It took about a full days worth of walking to break these puppies in. But once broken in, they are very comfortable. I have very weak ankles and tennis shoes just dont make the cut for me. I like how these boots come up to the ankles and they feel very secure in them. I also really like the color. I cant remember the actual name but it has peach accents and brown. The bottoms are very thick and durable. They provide a lot of traction for slick surfaces. I did a lot of research to find the perfect hiking boots under $200, and these definitely fit the bill. They are also waterproof. Now dont go swimming in them, but if it starts to rain, your feet should be dry for awhile.

This is the 3rd pair of Moab mid boots my daughter has owned - she’s been wearing them since middle school. Her last pair she wore daily - summer and winter - for 4 or 5 years, 3 miles a day, you do the math. The Vibram sole wore down and the lining tore but the heel, toe, solid. If I could only own one pair of shoes I would want these for my only shoes. Great if you have weak ankles too. She wears an 8 1/2 in certain other shoes but a 9 in these. Go great with SmartWool hiking socks.
