A solid boot for an outstanding price... that said, you get what you pay for. After a 2-3 months, the heels wore down almost completely and we discovered that the soles are NOT solid but in fact hollow, therefore weaker to wear and tear. The heels now fill up with rocks throughout the day and it is clear that we will not get the 1-2 year longevity we were hoping for in this product. I understand the need to cut costs, but given this design issue, we will not likely purchase this boot again until there is reason to believe the company has produced a hardier product--and we hope they do, because prior to the soles eroding away, we were very impressed with the value and fit of these boots.

The boot is awesome, but the opening for your calves is very small. I dont have large calves,Id even say theyre small when compared to other girls of my shoe size. The boots are cute and SEEM well constructed, but Ill be returning these because the calf opening is comically small.

I bought three different "cute" rain boots to try: 1) Capelli New York Ladies Spring Floral Printed Rain Boots Navy Combo 7 2) Western Chief Womens Waterproof Printed Tall Rain Boot, Simple dot Navy, 7 M US 3) NORTY - Womens Hurricane Wellie Printed Floral Hi-Calf Rain Boot, Blue 40715-7B(M) US The winner for comfort and fit was the Capelli New York boot, hands down. These have a soft, supportive footbed that feels almost like memory foam. They fit true to size, snug enough to not flop around as I walked, but with space for warm socks if I needed them. They also hugged my calves closely enough that I wasnt as worried about them filling with water! The NORTY boots were a close second. These had an overall similar fit to the Capelli boots, but werent quite as squishy and comfortable in the footbed. Since they were similar prices and I liked the Capelli pattern better, I decided to keep the Capelli boots. But I could easily have gone with the NORTY boots if Id liked the pattern better, etc. The Western Chief boots were about $10 cheaper and felt it. There was almost no support in the footbed and they fit very wide around my calves. They also felt overall larger - I would probably go down at least a half-size if I were to order them again. All of these items meant they were less comfortable and tended to "flop about" as I tried to walk in them. I cant speak to any of their waterproof-ness, but they were all made of thick rubber, which I imagine will keep feet dry unless water comes in the top! Im looking forward to using my Capelli boots, as we have had an unusually rainy spring this year.

Everything was right about these boots at first. Easy to slip on, plenty of room to add thick socks. Waterproof ( until they werent)Inexpensive, especially compared to the fashion brands. However, after wearing only a few times, the back seam split all the way down less than six months after delivery. I tried taping it up, but it wouldnt hold.I only wore these to walk my dog in a park after heavy rain, so no more than a few times a month. Very disappointed and do not recommend. I will go back to a premium brand.

I got these boots in the matte black color. They’re cute! But they smell as if they’ve been soaked in chemicals for 6 years (slight exaggeration). The smell is so strong that my entire bedroom now smells like it....thankfully I didn’t dare put them in my closet. Size: I’m normally a size 7.5-8. I ordered a size 7 based upon other reviews I read prior to ordering. The size 7 is even a bit big. They should be fine with a pair of heavy socks. Don’t buy these boots if you’re sensitive to chemical odors.....you’ll probably pass out.
