As a flower farmer in the northeast, the need for waterproof footwear is ever present. Spring through fall, in particular, requires daily use of a waterproof boot to keep feet dry in early morning dew, seasonal rains, and SLOGGING through garden plots to harvest. Many boots in years past have not even made it through one season. Some have been like suction cups to get off sweaty feet, others fit weird in the foot bed or were too tight for my ample calves. In short, I pretty much buy a new pair every season because the previous pair is unsatisfactory for one reason or another. Not only is the USA made feature a big plus, but also the choice of pattern from plain to playful to stylish lets the wearer express herself without sacrificing comfort. These are still in their first season so I cant speak to their durability yet. Even much heavier rubber boots (which I thought would wear like iron) havent survived my farm because they get brittle and split in stress areas, like where the ball of the foot flexes. Because these boots are soft, flexible, and lightweight, I can wear them all day if need be, without regrets. I am very particular about footwear and consider myself the Imelda Marcos of farmlife footwear (not only do I own a lot of shoes, I really put them to the test as well), so to have a pair of boots like these Sloggers that I can only say good things about so far, is saying something for this product and the company that produces them.

These are fantastic! They have a nice sole on them, they have a fabric lining so they dont stick to your ankles and theyre cute! Theyre a bit shorter than I thought theyd be, but Im glad. These are perfect knock arounds. I wear an 8 1/2, so I ordered a 9 & the fit is right on with the insole in.

I wear ladies 9-9.5 but bought a 10 because I want to be able to wear fuzzy socks in the fall. Fit like a charm. Most comfortable footwear I ever had. I have wide feet and these boots dont sqeeze my feet at all. Nice arch support. Even after working 6hrs on my feet in athletic shoes and then putting these boots on, was a relief. I bought these 8 months ago. Ive worked on concrete for hrs, mud, slick grass, gravel, rock, and poop. My feet were never sore and there is always great traction. Boots still look great with a quick rinse. I LOVE the little tab on the back heel for easy removal without touching the boot its self. I have no problem fitting my boot cut jeans inside the boot. The top of the boots dont rub my legs raw. All summer I wore these bare foot and they dont stink. Caution chicken owners: I had two younger roosters not like the red and they would randomly come and kick me in the boot.

I was so excited about these boots. Even my chickens had to check them out when I first wore them. I ordered a half size larger than I wear in shoes but they were still quite snug. About 3 months after purchasing them, they began splitting, first right across the toes and then right up the back. I was pretty disappointed as theyre not cheap boots, but they certainly are cheaply made.

I recently purchased the Sloggers gardening shoe for work around my home and garden and am quite happy with them but then came the rains and a quagmire of a garden. I needed something taller so I looked once again to the Sloggers. This boot is perfect for my needs. It hits me at mid calf, is light and very comfortable and as I purchased one size larger than the Slogger shoe, Ill be able to wear it in the winter months with thick socks. I live in the middle of the Ozark Hills and if anyone is familiar with our soil, you know that we have lots of rocks. Every year I remove the larger rocks from my garden (seems like they grow as well as the weeds do!) but its impossible to get the smaller ones. The thick soles on these boots make walking over these rocks painless and the boots are simple to hose off. They have a small protrusion on the heel so removal of the boots is easy to hook the opposite foot on it to remove the boot. My calves are not skinny and the top of the boot is still roomy enough for me to tuck my long pants into them. The top of the boot is bound if a very soft material that doesnt rub or irritate bare calves, making long term wear comfortable. The bright yellow with the funny chickens always make me smile as I go about the garden. Love these boots and expect many years of wear from them.
