At the risk of sounding like Im pining for the old days, the modern version of this legendary shoe just isnt as well made as it used to be. Its still a durable court shoe or knock-around, but the materials of construction arent quite as good, and they dont have the high-quality feel that the old ones did. Ive been wearing this model as casual outdoor shoes since the 1970s, so Ive had ample time to evaluate them.

It is very nice to see Amazon carry this shoe. I always have trouble finding on in the local store, due to my shoe size. I have been wearing these shoes for decades, and I hope Adidas never stops making the classic Superstar sneaker. All I need to remember is the shoe size, and I never have to give it a second thought. This is one of the few sneakers that actually fits my foot nicely. And the shoe is not a second, which I often found at that price locally, which often gave some problems.

Bought these back in September of last year, and there already coming apart at the toe cap. I don’t even wear them that much. I wore the superstar 2g shoes for years and never had any issues. I guess Adidas doesn’t care about quality anymore, just sell as many cheaply made shoes as possible. Maybe I’ll start wearing New Balance now

This is my second pair and yes they are great and last me about 2 years and 6 months. To me they run 1/2 size smaller than Nike or New Balance, so you may want to go a 1/2 size bigger, I need a US9 rather than 8-1/2. Ive heard some saying watch out for knock offs that are counterfeit? who knows maybe, but these are the real thing and just like the ones I wore in High school in the 70s. I got tired of spending over $100 for new balance that the soles fell apart walking through wet grass, and they told me the soles were from China but have made in USA printed on the tongue. Adidas used to have a model I really liked I think called SG-2 or SSG-2 I miss those they were even better than these.

Reminds me of the days back in the late 1990s and early 2000s. This shoe was the bomb & hasnt lost its coolness factor. Great fit with nice comfort & quality style. It is a shell-toe shoe that is cool always. The fit is perfect even though I historically wear an 11.5, the fit of the 12 is perfect with thicker socks. My feet feel comfortable & the quality is the same as I used to wear exclusively back 18 yrs ago. Very pleased to be rocking these again.
