I measured both of my feet pretty carefully before ordering these shoes, and chose the size according to the length of my left foot (slightly larger than my right), going along with Amazons sizing recommendations. I loved the shoes when they arrived, they seem to be pretty well made (though not as good as Keds from years ago as others have mentioned), but they are so large on my feet I had at least an inch of space at the toe, if not more. I am exchanging for the next size down and hopefully theyll fit. The return process is incredibly easy and Im really looking forward to my replacement pair arriving. Overall I love these sneakers, just the sizing was frustratingly inaccurate. Update on the replacement pair: I just received the smaller size and they fit so much better. Replacement was a breeze, so kudos to Amazon on their return/replacement system, and the new pair arrived very quickly. Though Im sad that the newer Keds dont seem to be as high quality as Keds from years ago, Im happy with these so far and hopefully will get lots of use from them.

These are the first Keds I have ever owned so I cannot compare them to other Keds but I have shopped around for shoes with good support and I settled on these because price wise, they were not too expensive, they are white like I wanted, they are leather so I can clean them easier, and they come in wide sizes. My feet were already aching when these arrived and when I ripped the box open in my eagerness to try them on, I was shocked that my feet stopped aching immediately. I could feel the cushioned arch support and it was helping my feet to feel better. I have never experienced anything like that before, and I am now a firm believer in these shoes. I look forward to wearing them when I have to go shopping and I guess that it where their true test will lie, but just for the pain relief alone, I rate these shoes high. I will post again when I have worn these more.

Ive been wearing between 11W & 12W for about 2 years (previously 10.5W-11W), and now have had to buy some mens shoes because so few womens shoes are available in this larger size, especially things like hiking boots. But the heels in a mens medium width are always too big, and my foot slips out. Ive tried dozens with no real success--Ive bought shoes out of desperation but been too unhappy (heel grips have not helped at all--they just wont provide enough compression to keep the heel in, and every brand/style Ive tried comes off/falls out quickly). I thought if I could find a womens shoe long enough & wide enough, it would have a narrower heel than mens, since womens feet tend to be more triangle shaped--narrower in the heel. I bought 11 W in this shoe to try. The length was actually OK, given that these are leather & would likely stretch a bit. The toe/forefoot width was OK, too. However, the heel was so wide the shoe wouldnt stay on. Thats the problem I have with mens shoes, so its no better (just more expensive). I wanted these just for "knocking around," running to the grocery store, etc., not for extensive walking. They probably would be fine for that if the heel wasnt so loose.

Just in case you forget these are KEDS, they have helpfully stamped KEDS in five - thats FIVE - places on the shoe! (On the tongue, on the heel, on the side, inside, and on the sole.) And the label on the heel is twice the size of the label on an older pair of Keds I have. Now I dont begrudge a manufacturer a little advertising but the usefulness of the shoe is diminished to me with all that branding. So what did I do? I took a permanent black marker to them! And scissors to the tiny sewn label on the side. I blacked out the KEDS on the tongue and on the back of the heel. (I tried to peel off the label on the tongue but it turned out theres a big wad of some kind of serious glue under there that was unlikely to come off.) The result is a much more attractive shoe that can pass as something dressier when needed. No, they dont look like dress flats but I still think they are more useful without the big honkin KEDS all over. Im thinking that if I could replace the laces with those new-fangled "no tie" shoelaces theyd be even better.

I ordered 2 sizes because my feet swell up. I ended up returning the smaller pair. The larger ones are still a little on the snug side. I could have probably used a wide. Im sure theyll stretch so Ill make due for now. If not, lesson learned. I LOVE these sneakers!! My last pair, which I had for several years, were starting to come apart. The rubber was peeling back around the top and by the sole. My dad has Gorilla Glue and I asked him if he could fix them. He took one look and said, "I think its time to let these go." I was so bummed out. I didnt want to throw them away. I should have put them in a shoe box and buried them... LOL!! Its amazing how attached you can become to these sneakers. They are so versatile, comfortable, and last a long time. They will always be a favorite of mine!!! So, its out with the old, and in with the new!!
