The quality of Keds has gone down the drain. How can you go wrong with a classic? Well, you can make them with the cheapest possible materials in the shoddiest way. Yes, these look (basically) like the Keds of yore, but these will not hold up. I bought the black "leather" in a 7-- I often run between sizes, but I figured I could wear thicker socks until the broke if I needed to do so. Turns out Keds no longer go as far up your foot as they used to-- stopping at about mid arch. The black leather looks cheap-- the black was wearing off in places after two wearings. They also stretched out-- a lot. After 10 easy wearings they look like I have owned them for years-- worn out, stretched out, no arch support at all. I cannot believe I paid this much for such junk.

My rating is based on a previous purchase of the same shoes. Ive been buying keds leather oxfords for Probably 25 years, because theyre comfortable and wear well. I was excited to find them in black at Amazon several years ago. This is my third pair and Im really hoping this pair lasts longer than the last pair. The last pair I got started coming apart at the seams almost immediately. The piece that connects the leather to the sole kept coming apart top and bottom. I kept super gluing them together, until I finally gave up and ordered another pair, because I was tired of wet socks and feet. If these do the same thing, itll be my last pair! Im hoping the last purchase was a fluke...if not, then keds may no longer be the quality that kept me buying them for 25 years. I hate to write a review based on a previous purchase, but I havent worn these ones long enough to give a rating on this purchase.

I love KEDS and have worn them for years. For me, it was Wonderful when I found them on sale during Amazons Prime Monday 07-11-2017!! It had been years since Ive bought a pair so, Unfortunately, I used their guide to measure my foot for sizing. I ended up with 3 pairs of shoes too large and when I wanted to exchange them for the correct size, I was told I had to pay full price. However, I still wear the same size shoe and when I finally got the correct shoe... at full price!! These shoes are AWESOME .. because I can wear them with shorts or a dress. I am Very Happy with these shoes.

I measured both of my feet pretty carefully before ordering these shoes, and chose the size according to the length of my left foot (slightly larger than my right), going along with Amazons sizing recommendations. I loved the shoes when they arrived, they seem to be pretty well made (though not as good as Keds from years ago as others have mentioned), but they are so large on my feet I had at least an inch of space at the toe, if not more. I am exchanging for the next size down and hopefully theyll fit. The return process is incredibly easy and Im really looking forward to my replacement pair arriving. Overall I love these sneakers, just the sizing was frustratingly inaccurate. Update on the replacement pair: I just received the smaller size and they fit so much better. Replacement was a breeze, so kudos to Amazon on their return/replacement system, and the new pair arrived very quickly. Though Im sad that the newer Keds dont seem to be as high quality as Keds from years ago, Im happy with these so far and hopefully will get lots of use from them.

These are the first Keds I have ever owned so I cannot compare them to other Keds but I have shopped around for shoes with good support and I settled on these because price wise, they were not too expensive, they are white like I wanted, they are leather so I can clean them easier, and they come in wide sizes. My feet were already aching when these arrived and when I ripped the box open in my eagerness to try them on, I was shocked that my feet stopped aching immediately. I could feel the cushioned arch support and it was helping my feet to feel better. I have never experienced anything like that before, and I am now a firm believer in these shoes. I look forward to wearing them when I have to go shopping and I guess that it where their true test will lie, but just for the pain relief alone, I rate these shoes high. I will post again when I have worn these more.
