I bought these to wear when going out on my boat. Not to use for working on the boat, not stressing or being hard on them, but to put on for morning coffee or during a cool evening; casual wear. I put on another, made for sailing, glove when under way. Theyve been used six times and one is falling apart. The left glove lining has separated from the outer wool part. I will attempt to sow the two parts back together. They shouldnt have failed that easily.

I found these at a store tried them on and liked the fit, but didnt buy them. Later I saw them on Amazon priced cheaper, and thought cool. I was looking for comfortable shoes I could wear on the weekend, walking the dog, etc. So, I decided to buy them, but... The fit was not nearly as good as those I tried on. I guess I have wider feet than most, and these pinched my pinkie toes. Theyre not bad for walking once around the block with the dog, but no way I could wear them all day.

I bought these for summer work as a deckhand on a schooner in NYC. The outsoles came unglued from the canvas body after one hour, and the canvas ripped after a few days. After 3 weeks, the entire shoe body came unglued from the sole. Ive never seen a pair shoes fall apart like that. Total POS. Its too bad, because I used to love the Sperry brand. Id still consider buying their old fashioned leather boat shoes. But their canvas shoes are garbage. AVOID AT ALL COST. I threw them away and bought a pair of Vans. To sum it up: Sperrys may be good (for a few days) if you want to LOOK like youre on a boat. —If youre gonna actually BE on a boat, get a pair of Vans.

This is my second pair of Sperrys. The first one I bought at a famous footwear, and they were comfortable and were only retired when the bottom sole wore through. I bought another pair on Amazon. After 5 months of normal wear, the rubbing from my jeans totally shredded the canvas, resulting in the attached picture. Ill also add the logo on the back peeled off after two weeks; this doesnt bother me, but its indicative of the quality issues Im experiencing now. This will be the last pair of Sperrys I buy.

Fits as expected. I wear a 9.5 wide, and this shoe fits well in that size. There is elastic attaching the tongue to the upper, so they work with or without the laces. Theyre just a bit looser unlaced, but still comfortable. The insole is a bit firm, but after wearing them for a couple of days Im used to it. The insole is pretty flat, so its good for people with low arches. Im subtracting one star because they squeak quite a bit. Not enough for me to want to return them, but YMMV. Lacing them tightly seems to help.
