Ellie Shoes Women's 254 Lucille Dress Pump

I LOVE these shoes. I ordered them because I needed character shoes for a dance audition but didnt want to spend the large amount required for real, leather-soled dance shoes. I love them, the chunky heel is solid and easy to walk on, theyre great for dancing, and I love the retro look of the T-strap. Because they arent true character shoes and have a rubber sole, they can easily be worn as regular dress shoes. Two thumbs up!

I recommend everyone purchase the two sizes they normally fit into (or three if they think they only ever fit one size) and just try them on in the living room and return the one (or two) that dont fit. Nearly all of my shoes are 7.5B/M or 8B/M (usually 7.5B/M in dress shoes) so I ordered the 7B/M and 8B/M. The 7B was a tiny bit tight (which may have loosened up with wear) and my toes bumped against the toe of the shoe when I walked or danced. The 8B was a little longer and wider (just a tad too wide actually) which allowed me to fit in a gel ball-of-foot insert which made the toe box fit perfectly and added some padding. (I should probably mention that I always wear stockings with my dress shoes so take that into account when I speak of their comfort; I have no idea how theyd fit in bare feet.) Overall the shoe makes a great street sole dancing shoe. They are very fast (for non-suede soles). The spool heel is 2.5" which isnt too high and is positioned directly under the heel which helps with balance when dancing. The ankle strap is comfortable and can be tightened so the shoe barely moves when dancing. I had no trouble with the t-strap, but it occurred to me that if I didnt have such slim ankles (I buckle the strap to its tightest or second to tightest hole) it might be too long. And from a historical point of view these really do make the perfect finishing touch to a 1920s to 1940s outfit.

These shoes are so damn cute! & Comfy! I typically wear anywhere from a size 8, 8 ½ or 9, depending on the brand of shoe. But after reading some of the reviews I decided to order the size 9 & Im so glad I did. They fit perfectly! Bought them to go with a dress for a wedding & I cant wait to show them off lol

Really nice pair of shoes and they complimented my Great Gatsby outfit. My feet are not happy in many shoes because of bunions but these were very comfortable. I received compliments on them. Before I used them, I sprayed two coats of a protector spray on them to protect the satiny material from getting dirty or stains. They fit pretty true to size. Recommend these shoes.

I bought these for a roaring 20s themed party after reading everyone elses reviews. I wore them all night, and considering they were brand new, they are comfy shoes. My drunk little piggies really appreciated them party night !! LOL ...... I did wear them around the house for a couple of hours the day I got them just to scuff up the soles so they would not be so slick. I also added foot pads in the toe area so my foot would not slide around. They definitely have plenty of toe room. If you have very narrow thin feet these may be to big for you, but I am appreciative they have toe room !! They are cute shoes and I will be wearing them out and about :0)
