DO NOT BUY. These are fake Ray-Bans. I found out when the front of the lens started to peel off. Search online before you buy. Shame on Amazon allowing to market counter fit items.

I don’t know where to begin, what a mistake buying Ray Ban, if there was a way to rate it less than one star they would get it. Let’s see, I paid $148.00 for a pair of sunglasses on May 7, 2018 and three months later the lens comes detached from the frame at the top. An obvious gap is visible. No problem, expensive sunglasses, 24 month guarantee, three months old, they will be replaced. Wrong! According to Luxottica: “Upon evaluation of your eyewear, we have determined that the issue was not due to defective material or workmanship. In addition, we are unable to make any repairs to your eyewear due to spare parts unavailability and/or damage that is beyond repair. We would like to extend an offer to replace your eyewear at the price below: $99.28 Replacement charge $15.00 Processing fee $114.28 Total $0.00 Paid $114.28 Balance To be so condescending to a customer spending so much money on their product is inexcusable. Oh, and just for the record, there never was any "evaluation of your eyewear" they only had me send photos of the problem.

I have had these for about 5 months now. When I first got them, I loved them. But now, they are getting scratched up. Now...Im not the worlds poster child for taking care of glasses, Ill certainly admit that, but the last pair of Ray-Bans I had lasted for three years without a single scratch...their demise was a 20 foot fall to concrete. These fit well, and are very comfortable. The sun protection and anti-glare are second to none. I just wish they did not scratch so easily. I opted for the glass lenses just for this reason, but it seems that it is the coating that is scratching, as not the glass itself does not appear scratched. All I can figure is that the tint is applied to the glass, and not in the glass itself. Will be looking for something else, soon.

I had to spend some time trying to figure out if these are real or fakes. Its so frustrating that RayBan has several manufacturing standards. For example this model, the hinges arent metal, and the temples dont have metal in them. Anyway, I think these are legit. But, my main gripe was that the lenses are not glass as per product description. Its misleading advertising in my opinion. Id have liked real glass. I contacted the seller and they said that they meant that the lenses are not ..prescription. Huh??! Who wrote that ("glasses lens) so carelessly and for an item thats so pricey??!! They also said theyd change the description on Amazon but they have not done so 2 weeks later. The blue color on the top of the frame is a tad lighter than I expected. The overall feel of this pair is good, wore in in bright sunshine and my eyes didnt feel tired after a while. The Predator 2 style is nice. I dont see a difference between this and the earlier style (P1?). I have an average head/face and they dont feel too large or too small, so theyre perfect for me. Im taking a star off for careless/misleading advertising.

I started with Wayfarers, over 20 years ago. Spent a lot of time in the Army in the desert. Those glasses never scratched or broke. Then about 10 years ago a pair I had developed a crack in the frame. I sent them to Ray-Ban with a letter asking them how much to fix it. Shortly afterwards, I received a brand new pair free of charge. That pair ended up being stolen. So I went with cheap glasses for quite awhile. Bought these recently and loved them. Looked up at a skylight and they fell on a linoleum kitchen floor. And the right lens shattered. I dont know when Ray-Bans quality went away, but Im beginning to see why the Army chose Oakley and WileyX brands for sunglasses. Im done with Ray-Ban. Money for junk is a losing game. I will try to return them but I dont know how that will turn out.
