I have enjoyed this wallet - for the most part. It is slim and functional, with a nice worn hue to the leather. Plenty of room for my cards and bills. Heres the issue - Ive had the wallet for 9 months, and the pull tab ribbon has torn completely free from the wallet. Without that ribbon, the outside credit card holder is essentially useless. I expected a longer life from this wallet based on normal daily usage. Not sure if I will be ordering a replacement, or trying out a different manufacturer. UPDATE: (Now 5 Stars) Within 2 hours of posting my previous review, the manufacturer reached out to me about my complaint. After sending them a picture of the damage, along with my order number and address - they shipped a new wallet to me, free of charge. I was blown away by this amazing customer service experience. Thanks to everyone at Serman Brands - youve got a customer for life now.

Just for an understanding here, I work at a Shoe Factory and my job is Grading Leather that comes straight from a tannery. What I can say is that I like the design of the wallet and it suits me. What I cant say is that your getting quality leather. Just for those new to this, When they talk about the grain of leather, a lot is about the durability and appreance of it. The crinkled splash of dark reds and browns ect... that occurs naturally on the leather. The strongest grain leather is going to come from the "back" and the weakest/loosest is in the "legs, belly, butt, and neck" of the hide. Other considerations during grading and cutting usually refer to scars, hair cells, open holes, scratches, soft leather, and bug bites. The pictures attached is the wallet I bought the Canyon Red. The leather while mostly full grain (probably cut closer to the mid way between back and belly, is full of bug bites (the little black dots everywhere, Visible next to the bend of the wallet.) and a few of them are open upon inspection. At least in shoe production Bug bites, open marks ect. Usually get used in pieces that are turned inside out or out of view as it detracts from shoes. for a 30 dollar wallet I would want a better quality control. So functional, just not quality leather.

Heres my wallet journey that got me to this. I started with a regular bifold that everyone starts off with. Then it got too bulky. Then I started looking intl minimalist wallets. Many of them were too minimalist in utility that made their usage cumbersome. I really likes the Basics wallet due to its draw strap that bulls out the card but the pocket for cash required folding bills twice to fit in. This was the problem with most minimalist wallets. This wallet solved the problem. It has a billfold, has a slot of drivers license, a draw strap, and an extra slot for the main card.

Ive had this wallet for 2 weeks now. The item looks just like the photo and Im impressed with the quality of the stitching as well as the leather itself. I have some small bills, 1 card in the easy access slot, 3 cards behind my license, 4 in the tab slot, and 5 total in the 2 slots across from my license. Id definitely buy again (but hope I wont need to for awhile)!

Thank you for making such a great wallet that is compact, functional and durable. I love the wallet and have been showing all my friends how great it is. Unfortunately my dog loved the wallet as much as I did. See photos of what happened. Given that shes a 80# lab who loves to chew, the wallet held up very well and protected my credit cards and drivers license. Would definitely recommend.
