I was a bit disappointed with these shoes. I’ve been purchasing the BB581’s for the past 4-5 years but they are now discontinued. So I am hoping to find a suitable replacement - and these shoes do not feel like New Balance. The soles are a hard plastic unlike the firm rubber/foam. I find that with these new shoes I slip and slide on slightly damp linoleum floor. The grip on the treads are too firm and don’t grip very well. In addition, I’ve now worn them for 3 days and my knees and ankles are achey. I notice that these shoes somehow alter my walking gait and my legs feel more fatigued. My previous pairs of shoes never felt like this. Another thing I’ve noticed... the overall quality seems seems lower - I notice spots of glue showing at the seam between the shoe and the sole. Overall, I’m disappointed and wonder if New Balance has made some cost-cutting changes.

These were lighter than I expected which is great. New balance is the only brand that fits great and last for what feels like forever.

Comfortable, quality made, all terrain running/hiking shoe. Fits my 11D foot perfectly. The color is not quite as shown on line - I was expecting it to be more grey - is closer to blue denim, but looks great with jeans.
