WTH, I always buy New Balance because of the amazing fit right out the box. I never had a problem with NB until I started buying them on Amazon. I buy New Balance and Dunham exclusively because of my huge feet. In the past I bought them online from various vendors. During the past year or two I started buying them on Amazon and something is amiss. I dont know who to blame Amazon or New Balance but I have been burnt twice now. The first time I got a shoe 3 or 4 sizes too small, the label and the box where right but the actual shoe was way too small, and then someone shoved the correct insole into the shoe. The second time was with these shoes. This time the shoe was only one or two sizes too small. This is not the quality I expect for New Balance.

I took a chance on these based on the Amazon reviews. I never bought a pair of running shoes online before because the fit of running shoes is usually highly variable and I have to try on a half-dozen pair in the store before I find one I like. I usually take a size 10.5 M but Ive found that running shoes are almost always sized too small. Ive owned some Nike shoes in size 12.0 to get a correct fit! I ordered these in size 11.0 just to be sure, because I like a touch of extra room in the toes, I hate it when my toes touch the front of the shoes and these have a slightly pointed toe box. I figured I would take advantage of the free exchange if they didnt fit. I was surprised to find that not only do these fit me perfectly -- just a touch of extra room in the toes -- but theyre also the most comfortable and nicely padded (on the soles) running shoes Ive ever owned. Theyre very nicely made and they have lots of cushioning, especially under the ball of the foot, where a lot of running shoes have issues. The fit is more or less "neutral", yet the shoes have good support. I had a couple of pair of New Balance 510 in the past that I liked (Im not sure what the difference is in all the numbers) but these are even better. So, Im really pleased, they fit just like I wanted and theyre really comfortable. In fact, I may order another pair just to have in the closet in case they discontinue these!

I have bought New Balance shoes in the past and continue to do so. This is one of the few brands of shoes that are friendly to my feet and have are available in wide widths. I am a big man with wide flat feet who needs shoes to be as comfortable as possible. I likes these shoes a lot because they feel light on my feet and are sturdy. They also handle extremely well in rainy weather. I live in South Florida; where it gets rainy and hot and having shoes like these are a huge advantage to have. I will continue to buy New Balance shoes in the future. They never go out of style and New Balance is always reinventing itself.

Well, this is the 3rd or 4th pair of NB I have had to return because they are too small. I have worn a 16 EEEE for 20+ years, but only in the last few years NB shoe sizes have changed. While other shoe brand sizes have remained steady, NB has obviously lost something somewhere.

I loved New Balance walking shoes as they made a shoe that comfortably fit my extra wide, high arched foot. Until recently, when they lost any semblance of quality control. I bought another pair of this shoe, identical except for color, less than one year ago. They were extremely comfortable and didnt look half bad. I am hard on shoes and within a few months I had torn them up pretty bad so I ordered another pair in the same model and size, 10.5/4E. These shoes feel like they are only a 10W. Unfortunately I expected them to fit like the others so I have already worn them on a hike, meaning I cannot even return them. Unfortunately I had a similar experience with another NB shoe: loved the first ones and wore them to death, the second pair, also ordered this fall, has a defect in the insole such that it always feels like my sock is wadded up under my toes and the suede around the toe has pulled loose from the rubber, after only 3-4 weeks wear. Hate to say it but New Balance has gone from my go-to shoe for general wear to avoid at all costs due to their total lack of QC. Sad.
