This is the 3rd or 4th pair of Keens I have bought my husband. He raves about their comfort, and he wears them all day at work 10 plus hours a day on his feet! Unfortunately, the last 2 pairs we have purchased have fallen apart within 30 days! The soles start to come loose and the rubber starts to tear off leaving big pieces hanging off. This is a serious danger! You can get the rubber caught on things, they are a huge fall risk. We will not be buying these shoes anymore, and were totally bummed.

Followed Amazon direction "add to cart to see price" -and it was a GREAT price! With a 4.3 rating by 2,057 reviews, decided to buy. As suggested, ordered a 1/2 size larger than usual size (ordered Size 10) -and the boots fit fine. Footbed feels a little firm at balls of feet, but apparently not a common issue since not many similar comments. At this price, if becomes a problem will just buy a cushion insole. Boots are light and appear well-made. The sole has a gray base with a black second sole thats glued over it with holes for the gray lugs. Dont understand why necessary vs a solid 1-piece sole, appears to just add a potential failure point. Found some comments about the two pieces separating, but apparently not common. Just got the boots -if any issues will report back.

I wear a very common shoe size, 10-D, but for some reason I can never find hiking boots that fit right. They all seem to be made for people with feet like Fred Flintstone. So I ordered seven pairs of boots at once and compared them all. I tried the Nortiv 8 ($42.99), Clorts ($57.99), Columbia Newton Ridge Plus II ($79.95), Keen Targhee II Mid ($122.73), Oboz Sawtooth Mid BDry ($105.00), Oboz Tamarack BDry ($145.00), and Oboz Bridger Mid BDry ($180.00). Only the Oboz Bridger fit like a cushioned glove. The Oboz Sawtooth and Tamarack fit well but felt hard in the sole and lacking cushioning. All the other brands I tried had far too much room in the toe box; it took a great deal of effort to lace them tight enough to make them feel secure if at all. The Oboz Bridgers lace up quickly, easily, and securely. They have completely leather uppers too, so if the BDry lining ever fails, they can be waterproofed using an applied treatment. I gulped at the price of the Oboz boots, but after trying on so many others, I know that they are absolutely worth it and will keep my feet healthy and comfortable on long hikes for many years.

This is my third pair of Keens in a row that have failed. Two sets of soles had glue failures and came off . On my current pair the shoe laces eyes broke. Keens customer service didnt seem to care and wouldnt help. I have had no other shoe failures during that time. I wouldnt recommend Keen, thier priced like a quality product but built cheaply and dont stand buy thier product.

This is my second pair. The previous ones I had lasted over 3 years but I did not wear them daily, mostly weekends, walking dogs, and doing yard work. This pair fits even better and seems to be slightly re-designed to improve sliding them on your feet. Comfortable, not hot, and keeps feet dry. Great boots in summer and winter. The size was exactly what I was expecting. A bigger toe box is what drew me to these boots originally and these still have the same amount of room. Highly recommend for those with duckish shaped feet.
