I bought these to replace some steel-toed shoes, which I hate. The Merrills have a composite toe, which is much better balanced. I have a pair of Moab shoes, which fit great at size 10; Im usually a 9 or 9.5. I bought a pair of Moab 2s also 10s. Merrill has apparently switch lasts. The Moab 2s feel a bit wider, and the size of the boots is now 9.5. It seems to be a good boot, but try them on before buying, or at least make sure you have free returns.

Got these boots for work as a maintenance technician. Had a similar boot without toe protection and wanted to try out a composite toe. Generally comfortable right out of the box. Ventilation is ok, but not great. If you have the opportunity to change socks once a day, I would recommend it. I work anywhere between 8-14hr days. On long days, my feet are sore, and callused in spots (which is a new situation with these boots). Havent had any issues with water penetrating the boots, so high five on the waterproofing and toe protection. Great slip resistance. Noisy as can be on VCT waxed floors, but cant win them all

I was wearing Georgia boot comfort cores not the loggers first day of wearing these I could tell a difference, waterproof, oil resistant, light, comfortable. Only dislike I have is when kneeing the composite toe pinches my toes. That can be avoided by resting your toe of the shoe flat rather than be arched. overall. Excellent choice for a work boot. If your not ankle deep in water all day

No dislikes. I have owned several Merrell MOAB boots in the past and have never been disappointed. I was glad when the started offering them in a safety toe. I am a local truck driver by trade so I see all kinds of weather and the waterproofing is much appreciated.

Very comfortable and waterproof, did lots of walking and hiking in Switzerland with no issues. Kept feet nice and warm, definitely a cold weather boot, way too hot in Florida. Could have purchased a 1/2 size down as there is lots of room, great for double or even triple socks.
