These are some great boots out the box. Look good and feel pretty good as well. I’m not a wide shoe guy but the right foot was a little more snug than the left. After a few moments of walking around and wear either I got use to it or it settled somewhat because it doesn’t bother me. It may be due to the steel toe. Still the best boots I’ve had to date. I’m leaving behind my Wolverines and before that years of department store cheapies. The wolverines were good to me but I’m digging these Thorogood boots fresh out the box and can’t wait to use them at work.

These were the most painful boots Id ever put on when I first started wearing them. The stitching pokes out at the two corners where leather attaches on top of your foot and digs in there. Pretty painful. I was going to return them, but was in a jam at work and needed steel toes immediately, so I wrapped my feet with gauze and duct tape in the areas that stitching poked out inside the boots. Ive been wearing them for about two weeks straight now and they are loosening up, but I can still feel where the stitching pokes out. They are not perfect but theyll do. Two stars for their attractiveness on the outside.

Good job Mike! Prompt delivery, product fits perfectly, great packaging. Second pair to ever own, WILL NOT be buying any other work boot. The last pair held up through vigorous working and stayed comfy for 2-1/2-3years. Most boots dont last 4-6 months. Thanks you and you can expect me to buy again from you when these FINALLY crap out in 2-1/2-3 years lol

Tore apart at the seems in less than a week, and only being worn three times. My husband said the fit was good (although he had to go a half a size down, because his normal size was too large), and they were very comfortable after the first day of wearing, but as you can see, the quality of the boot is deplorable. It may just be a manufacturing error, but from what I read in the reviews, this seems to happen more often than it should for a reputable company.

I’m so glad I went with these over the redwings. Not only did I save $100, I got a nice work boot made in USA instead of Vietnam (redwing Irish setters). They also fit better and feel more comfortable than the redwing counterpart imo. They fit maybe slightly large. I’m measured at size 12 but I like my shoes a little snug and usually wear an 11.5. I ordered these in 11.5 and they fit fine. Not snug but I’m not sliding around in them either. As long as the stitching holds up to normal wear and tear. They have a new lifelong customer.
