The Z/Cloud is super comfortable with the softer foot-bed in comparison to the standard Z/1 Classic Chacos. The reason for the 3 instead of 5 star rating is that I have had multiple surgeries in my ankle and because of that its a little larger than normal. I ordered the wide like I have to in any shoe. The problem is the strap is so short that I have about 1/2" of strap movement for tightening. In springtime or evening when its a little chilly out here in Michigan, I still like to wear my Chacos (3rd set). However, unlike my old ones, these have a shorter strap and so while Im wearing socks (I know, I know, dorky) I can barely slip the one on, no less tighten it. BTW, these are the only sandals that I can wear for years without having my plantar fasciitis come back at all! Birkenstocks were no good, Teva’s were no good, or anything else I tried. Other than that, I love them.

LOVE these sandals!! I ordered a mens 8 to fit my womens size 10 wide foot. Unfortunately they dont make these is a womens wide... The footbed fit is perfect! Plus, you can customize the fit to get exactly what you need. I have high arches and achilles tendonitis, and need a shoe that provides excellent arch support. These totally fit the bill! Plus theyre great in water, have very good traction and look good! My new favorite sandal!!

If you’ve ever endured breaking in a great pair of boots or shoes you’ll understand. In this case I had to break in my feet. These sandals ate my feet with blisters in places I’ve never had them before but I put them away for some healing time and now enjoy the most comfortable and hard working sandals made. I’m own and operate a small diverse farm and wear these at all times unless I’m using a chainsaw or something or the sort. I stuck with these after blowing out the “between the toe” webbing on several of Chaco’s regular flips. Farming is hard on shoes and I’m no lightweight. The durability and comfort of the sole of Chaco sandals is unmatched. My neighbor (also a farmer) claims to have worn the same pair for over a decade.

This is my 3rd pair of Chacos in over 15 years. I absolutely wear out a pair before I purchase new. When not in business shoes, Im in Chacos. Hundreds of miles hiked, rivers rafted, lakes canoed, oceans sailed. Worn with wool socks in the winter and I always have a Chaco tan line on my feet in summer. Best footwear on the planet in my opinion. Comfortable, stable, supportive with good traction and non-skid. You may not trek Antarctica, climb K2 or run a marathon in these, but you can wear them for damn near anything else. Id wear them with my business suit more often if I could get away with it.

I live in Southeast Asia so the way I get sandals like this takes awhile. Its important to find something that lasts so I dont have to have the items shipped too often from my mail service to wherever I happen to be staying. I do mostly city explorations with a camera, sometimes I walk in parks or temples. I go about 5 to 7 miles every day. These Chaco Sandals while requiring some time to break in and get them and my feet acquainted now have become very comfortable albeit wearing them with socks which adds a layer of comfort to my poor old retired feet. I have not tried other sandals besides some Tevas or perhaps they were Keens and a pair of Birkenstock Arizonas that barely lasted two months. I want to get six months to a year out of these and will then return to the USofA where its easier to get things like this for a short visit. I can pickup another pair then but for now the daily walks that I must do to stay happy are well done using these sandals. They do require some break in times at least for me and I did get two smaller blisters which I treated immediately. I highly recommend these particular sandals for comfort and if you can wear them from day one with no break in period, great! If they last six months to a year with my wear even better. Other shoes have not. We shall see.
