One way to tell if a material is real silk is by rubbing it between your hands. Real silk gets warm. Synthetics dont. This scarf is not real silk. I would not have bought it if I knew before purchasing. It does look nice from a distance and I will probably find some use for it. I did end up buying a real silk scarf from a local shop which I plan to wear more regularly. Real silk feels amazing to the touch.

WOW. I really like this scarf. I collect vintage scarves and have numerous Gucci, Hermes, Givenchy, and other silk scarves, so Ive gotten pretty good at telling the fakes from the genuine ones. Let me run down what a real one looks like, firstly: 1) 100% substantial-weight smooth, uniform, high thread-count silk twill 2) hand-sewn rolled-hem, with thread to coordinate with the scarf. 3) the design is either woven in or pressure-printed so that the color is uniform on both sides 4) the designer tag is "tacked" on (something you will understand if you sew), with a single button-stitch on either side so that it is easy to remove. Now, this one is not silk twill, its a thinner silk crepe, but still beautiful. Its also machine stitched, and the thread is red, so it doesnt blend well with the design edge patterns. Still, its a beautiful pressure-printed design, and quite substantial. And, its huge. Its about the size of a typical pashmina stole. You could wear this so many different ways. All in all, definitely worth the money!

I need to rush back and get a bunch to give out for Christmas. I got the navy blue bee scarf with the red outer stripes. Now to be truthful, the photos online showed two minor differences: one with the red stripe sandwiched between two green stripes and one with the red stripe sandwiched between two light-blue stripes. I thought I was getting the one with the green stripes throughout the outer edges of the scarf, but when the scarf arrived, I realized why they posted two different photos: The scarf actually has both the green stripes and the blue stripes surrounding the red stripes on the edges. And thats why the seller posted two different photos: one showing the light blue and one showing the green. Theyre both there. That doesnt bother me because thats the intended design. Im just making a point of clarifying this detail so no one will unfairly criticize the seller when they get their scarves and notice this detail. Im absolutely thrilled with the quality of the silk and the workmanship, print, color, design, and the fast delivery. Just understand that this a light scarf, not a heavy scarf--so you should not get it if you want to buy a heavy silk scarf, like the twill type--to avoid your being disappointed and having to leave a negative review, which would be so unfair to the seller! This is a GREAT scarf. Go get it!

I ordered a black color and arrived this morning. This scarf is absolutely beautiful & the material is fantastic. One cannot tell that its not a high designer brand. The size is generous & colors are rich & vivid. Will be ordering different colors soon. Great gift for the Holidays for those who are so hard to buy for.

This lovely scarf will make a wonderful gift. The only criticism I have concerns the hem. It was not a rolled hem, which I was expecting on such a pretty scarf, but more of a flat hem with the stitching on top.
