This is a really nice, inexpensive scarf. Interesting shade of white and heavy-weight (Im always cold). I loved it until... I wore it with a black cotton top and pants and a black wool coat. And came home covered with a fine layer of white lint everywhere the scarf had touched. I may wear it again, but not with anything black!
Actually really surprised at how nice these are! bought one for me and one for my wife as stocking stuffers. For the money wasnt really expecting much but we seem to be getting colder as we age - and though really cold weather doesnt happen often in our neck of the woods, when it does it can get really cold. We live in an old house and have found that covering our heads and wearing socks keeps the chill off - and last cold spell we were both digging for old head scarves to wrap around our throats. Hence, when I saw these, thought no matter what they looked like would be a funny gift that just might also be useable. To heck with funny - these are really attractive, and soft, and the colors are lovely, and they actually fall nicely and look pretty darn good. Have a feeling Ill be back for more of these and so will my friends once they see mine on me!!
I WAS IN MILAN FOR A DREAM TRIP TO LA SCALA LAST OCTOBER. OCTOBER WEATHER IS TRICKY AND I KNEW ID BE WALKING THE LESS THAN HALF MILE TO THE OPERA HOUSE. I DONT OWN OR WANT A FANCY COVERING SINCE I DONT SPEND MUCH TIME IN ITALY OR GOING TO OPERA HOUSES...THIS SCARF/SHAWL IS JUST THE RIGHT WEIGHT, SOFT AND I THOUGHT PRETTY ENOUGH TO WEAR WITH MY LOVELY EVENING DRESS. WAS TOTALLY SATISFIED. BTW, I AM A LARGE WOMAN SO THE SHAWL DOESNT WRAP AROUND LIKE A BIG SHAWL WHICH I THINK WOULD HAVE MADE ME LOOK LIKE MY SICILIAN GREAT GRANDMOTHER ANYWAY.
This scarf is super soft and warm but still a light material. It works great in all the normal scarf styles, but I can unfold it all the way and drape it around my shoulders at work like a blanket. I bought the dark green scarf, and its got a slightly warmer tone than the green in the picture, but its still beautiful and I love it. Im going to buy one for my house and one for my car.
I washed this only once but it came out looking wonderful. It seems to be very good quality. It is soft and warm around my neck and falls into a lovely drape around my collar. Looking forward to using it when I make a trip to the mountains later this spring.
