I think these jeans are fabulous. I read comments re: aroma, so I think Ill weigh in on that--just in case my experience helps someone. Did these jeans smell when I first opened the package? Yes, in my opinion the packaging was a little stinky and the jeans picked up a bit of that stinky. Did I wash the jeans, as I would any new garment coming from who knows where? Yes, I did wash the jeans. Do the jeans smell stinky now? Nope, they do not smell stinky. Theyre great jeans, at a fine price, and Im digging wearing them.

Honestly this is the first review that I write becuase I am so angry. I have worn this pair of jeans now a few times and I kept noticing that the fit did not match my other pair (which I bought at a store). Went online to research the style number and I noticed that the tags on this pair did not match those on levis.com. Please do not buy these jeans- they are not Levis.

I wanted to replace a pair of mid rise skinny jeans I purchased a few years ago. Loved them, and they fit perfectly. Unfortunately, the new mid-rise skinnies are not the same cut. These fit like leggings, with the bottoms hugging the ankles. If you like jean leggings, then go for it. I wanted jeans with a narrow bottom, not jean leggings.

You have to look at the fiber content of each color of these jeans. I chose one that has less cotton, and therefore is much more giving. The Luck Out West has a lower cotton ratio, so it really does allow you more room for movement. I have a large stomach and slimmer hips/legs, and these jeans were perfect. Unfortunately I recently gained weight, and needed something I didnt have to squeeze into, and these are perfect. I worried that the hips on the size 33 would billow out, or the legs would be cut too large, but they were just right, and I am thrilled. Most pants when they hit size 14 or 16 will end up having too much room in those areas, and cut you around the middle. These dont. Perfect if you have more belly fat than leg/butt fat. Best online clothing purchase I ever made as far as fit goes. These probably (?) adjust for many different body types, except those with tiny waists.

Be warned! I have ordered about 10 pairs of Afternoon Sun trying to get one that is actually Mid Rise Skinny style. Someone (and Im going to say a distributor since Ive ordered from more than one source) is passing off this color from old 524 stock. Even the tags say 524. That part is being covered over with a sticker and the red tag in the back stating the style is being removed on the ones from Amazon. Some retailers dont even bother at all. 524s are LOW RISE and I couldnt even get them past my hips. I have Indigo Devotion, Blue Dream and Lightning Trail, they all fit just fine. I found 2 pairs of Afternoon Sun labeled properly at K and sure enough, they fit just fine! So if you like the waist of your jeans bikini style, this particular color may be for you.
