LOVE THESE! I bought these last minute for a trip to Scotland. I wore these almost every day and didnt get any blisters (although I had very good hiking socks on.) They were waterproof - and believe me I tested them a couple times. Socks stayed dry. I even accidentally stepped in a huge mud bog, you know the kind where when you pull your foot out it makes a sucking noise, well the shoe was COVERED in mud! I stuck my foot a bit into running water and the mud came off and my shoe was dry on the inside. Good stuff!

I made the mistake of ordering 1/2 size up and regretted it when I tried on size 9 and they were too big on me. I sent them back and ordered a size 8.5 which is what I wear in almost all of my shoes and they fit great. They truly are water resistant. Since they are hiking shoes the back of the heels rub and you will get blisters if you wear the ultra low, no show socks like I did. Once I put on actual ankle socks that covered my ankles the issue was solved. Since these are hiking shoes and not hiking boots they are not meant to be worn with super-thick,winter weight socks so if youre hiking in snow these are not designed for that.

Three stars because the insole of this shoe is TERRIBLE. Do not make the mistake I did and try to break these shoes in. I wore them around the house for two days before our trip. The insole has no padding and very minimal arch support. Purchase a really nice Dr Scholl’s insole and you’ll be good to go. Sad to pay this much for shoes and have to invest more on insoles though. The shoe runs small. I have wide feet. I’m about an 11 1/2 and often have to wear a 12 because half sizes are rare between 11 & 12. These fit my length perfectly without thick socks. They are more narrow than most shoes and actually squeeze a bit on my left foot. Again, without thick socks. I don’t tighten them much and I can manage to wear them for a few hours here and there. I’m not much of a hiker. I wore them on a 2 hr treck ( easy hiking) in the constant rain. They kept my feet perfectly dry and warm which was exactly the reason I bought them. I to like the construction of the shoe. Just wish the insole and sizing were not an issue.

I bought these for our trip to Ireland and they were beyond awesome. They truly are waterproof and were great for the hiking and walking. (They legitimately do walk just about everywhere and for that, you want comfortable and practical shoes...these fit the bill and then some!)

These shoes seem to be good quality. I definitely recommend ordered a half size up from your normal shoe size. I typically wear a 9 and ordered a 9.5, and they fit well. My only complaint is that there isnt a lot of very plush ankle support, and the actual sole of the shoe isnt very supportive for my arch either. I removed the insoles and was surprised that they insoles were so thin and cheap feeling. I think that changing the insoles would make the shoes much better for me, personally. I also love how this particular shoe doesnt make my foot look extremely wide like other hiking shoes I have tried on.
