As a teacher I spend just about the whole day on my feet. I needed a professional looking shoe that was versatile and comfortable. They fit will, took almost no time to break in, and were comfortable to stand in all day. However, after a few weeks I replaced the laces because I felt they werent going to last, and didnt want to have them break away from home. After an entire year, the shoes show the wear. The soles of the shoes are still in great condition, however I cant say the same for the rest. For the price, they are well worth it.

Great, real leather shoe for the price. This is my second pair. I still have my previous pair which I wore almost everyday for 3 years. The sole of the previous pair wore down so far that it no longer was puddle proof and would get my feet wet. I still use them for any dry days and for things where I dont care if the shoe gets damaged or dirty. I just polish the shoe with brown polish as the leather is exposed to return it to a like new appearance. Like many leather products, first week of using the shoe slightly hurts but breaks in to become EXTREMELY comfortable. If it had a more durable sole for the 60 dollar price, I would give 5 stars. This is really a 4.5 star shoe. In the photos, left pair are my first pair I purchased. They are needing another couple coats of polish, obviously, but you can see the real, fuzzed leather exposed. Right pair are my new pair with about 6 months of use and no polishing done yet.

I love the way these shoes feel and look, they are pretty comfortable. That being said, as others have mentioned, the bottom of the shoe does deteriorate with normal wear and tear. In my photo you can see what will happen. I found this out on a rainy day when I stepped in a shallow puddle and my sock became soaked! On the flip side, I got about 6 to 8 months of wearing these before this happened...you can see how worn the remainder of my shoe is. I actually ordered a second pair on Amazon because at the point they split, its likely time to replace them.

This was the 3rd pair of these shoes Id purchased in just over 2 years. The first two came from department stores so I knew more or less exactly what I was getting. Theyre comfortable right out of the box, offer moderate arch support if youre on your feet a lot, and look pretty good. However, the first 2 pairs I had broke right at the ball of the foot after about 12 months. This one purchased from Amazon never got he chance. Right out of the box the right shoe made a loud "POP" with every step. I looked to see if something was lodged inside the should but could find no loose seams and the insole is glued in so thats no help. These went back for a refund after a day of wear. The upper of my previous models wore very well (hides scuffs and scratches well) but the sole just falls apart.

I use to buy these from my local Sears and use them for work. I wanted shoes that looked somewhat dressy but where durable and built for working in a physical job. I was slightly worried that these would differ from the shoes I bought at the store because I have never purchased shoes online without the ability to try them on but I was happily satisfied. They are leather so with some care they will last a decent amount of time and keep much of their original looks. I work in a semi-physical job and have to buy a new pair every 10-14 months because of the bottom part of the shoe cracking and opening up. They matched in price but honestly I was hoping for a better price since I was buying direct rather than through a large retailer.
